Crossfaith

Hi guys, before I write up something, I want to ask you a question. (what the..??)
Have you ever heard a metalcore song that has electronic element inside it? never? Hmm.. you must be really wondering what would it sounds like, right?

Then you must listen to Crossfaith, one of the hottest band right now.
Basically they compose metalcore/hardcore song, but to make their song more unique, they add the strings and electronica sound effects. and the result is.... Awesome!! Their song is so powerful yet catchy with those melodic tune.

Can't wait to check it out right? Here is their latest video :)
So, I hope now you know how metalcore + electronic sounds. \m/ yeahh!

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas

As usual I was browsing videos in Youtube that night, then I found a band that catches my attention. Their name is Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas. and... Woow!! Their music really amazes me. It's really cool man..

So, let me give you a short description about them.

I would say that their genre is Rock. (Hail Rock yeahh). \m/
What makes them unique is that they mix many elements in their music, such as chiptune, scream, and metal-ish breakdown. Their song are really energetic, and quite abstract. Wait.. abstract?? what do you mean by that? Well... for me, when I listen to their songs, I can't really tell that they are singing the reff or the verse or the chorus or the other part. why? because they have many variations in their song. So, it wouldn't be boring to listen again and again.

Now I bet you must be really wondering about this band, so let's just finish the description.

Taadaa...
You can check one of their PV here, hope you'll also like it :)

Cap Go Meh Celebration at Central Park

As I live in Jakarta, in Kemanggisan region specifically, there was no such celebration of Cap Go Meh like in my hometown Pontianak. No dragons or lions parade on the road :(

I googled for any lion or dragon performance in Jakarta, apparently there's two, one at Central Park and the other one at Pacific Place Mall. xD

I decided to go to Central Park (Feb 6th) to celebrate Cap Go Meh with my friends, unfortunately it was only  two of us. :|

The mall has a good decoration celebrating the year of the dragon.

It even displays all the 12 Chinese zodiacs...
It is scattered all around the mall, so it took times to take all of the picture. But I manage it :D

I was really enthusiastic to see the lion and dragon performance but unfortunately it was already held on the previous day. :(

Nevertheless, Cap Go Meh's celebration is not only about the lion and dragon performance, it is also about the togetherness and... luxurious dinner :)

We chose Waraku as our dinner place because it has a 20% disc promo for students.

It is a Japanese restaurant
We ordered Chicken Katsu Curry Don IDR 69,800 and Chikuwa IDR 49,800.
The available portion are mini and regular for Chicken Katsu Curry Don.
We "thought" "mini" was very small and could not fill up our stomach, so we ordered the "regular" portion.

We were so happy after the food came that we took our picture with the  food. :p
This is our innocent and happy expression.

After eating for a while, we realized that we have been deceived by the size of the food.
Damn! It is written regular portion but in fact it was like extra large portion.
We almost used all of our strength to eat the rice (well if all of our strength was used, we wouldn't be able to walk after eating ;p), but we still left some rice on the bowl.
I was like experiencing "eat as many as you can" competition.

However, the food was very delicious. Oishi desu!
We were satisfied but on the other hand we regretted that we ordered the "regular" portion, "mini" should be enough. :-D T_T
If your order is above IDR 200,000 you can get 25%disc.
Not bad right?

Last... my picture with the dragon ;)

We went to Nanny Pavilion, a unique restaurant. I ordered Beef Baked Rice IDR 37,000.
It tasted like eating pizza with rice. Not bad..
